Bosco Accounting is a growing and well respected firm within the Shoalhaven providing accounting, bookkeeping and business advisory services to a wide range of local small businesses.
We are a firm based in Nowra and Sanctuary Point and have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant & Business Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team.
The ideal candidate will have tax experience gained within a small/medium sized business.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Attending to clients and taking instructions;
- Assisting other staff in all types of matters;
- Processing individual, partnership companies and trust funds tax returns;
- Preparing BAS’s and financial statements;
- Using Microsoft Office, Xero, MYOB, Access and other bookkeeping software;
- An excellent understanding ATO standards and requirements; and
- Bank reconciliations.
As the successful candidate you are:

- Highly organised and a quick learner;
- Efficient in working in a fast-paced environment;
- Able to meet deadlines in any circumstance; and
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Relevant qualifications within Business Commerce, Accounting and Tax;
- 2+ years Tax Accounting experience;
- Good knowledge of taxation & business principles across all business entities, individuals, trusts, companies etc;
- Must have experience preparing tax returns;
- Must have a reasonable understanding of ATO practices;
- Exposure to MYOB and Xero;
- Must have a satisfactory understanding processing BAS’s and financial statements; and
- Intermediate Excel skills.
This position is being offered as either a part-time or full-time position depending on the right candidate.

We are looking for an accountant/bookkeeper to join our team located in our Nowra office to work five days per week.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting and comprehensive knowledge in bookkeeping, BAS, GST and payroll experience using Xero and MYOB
- A proven ability to problem-solve
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to work under pressure and within specified time frames
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service ethic
- Willing to learn and adapt to new software applications
- Certificate IV in Accounting
Desirable Criteria:
Currently studying towards a degree would be highly regarded
